SUPERVISION

I am a qualified counselling supervisor and have been practising since 2003. I trained initially with Robin Shohet and Joan Wilmot, followed by further training with Psychology Matters in 2004, where I gained a certificate in Person Centred Supervision.

Alongside my private practice, I have supervised for charities, schools and youth counselling services. I have also supervised occupational therapists, head-teachers and careers advisors. Having set up and run a school counselling service for 20 years, I welcome enquiries from beginning or experienced school and youth counsellors, or students wishing to specialise in this area.

I also supervise students from Year One of training to preparation of final dissertations and vivas for MSc. I am on the Metanoia-approved list of supervisors for the Person-Centred Diploma, BA and MSc courses. I am also on the list of approved, trained viva examiners for the Metanoia Person-centred Diploma and BA courses.

Supervision sessions are charged at £65 / hour and are available as 60-minute or 90-minute sessions.

THERAPY FOR COUNSELLORS

I counsel many counselling and psychotherapy students for whom therapy is an integral part of the training, and am attempting to model best practice for them.

I abide by the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and am subject to its complaints procedure.

I am on the Metanoia-approved list of therapists.

Because I see a high proportion of students of counselling and psychotherapy, I do not offer a general student discount.
